Eriyo Watanabe is Grand Master of the Renshin School of Incense and Director of the Incense Research Institute (IRI). Revering Kyara, the rarest agarwood used in traditional Koh-do: the Japanese incense ceremony, she created Juku-koh™, a fermented incense that honors the sacred fragrance of Kyara and living flowers. Her signature Fermented Lotus Incense forms the heart of the Lotus Peace Project, a global initiative connecting inner peace to world peace through the timeless art of fragrance.
She holds a Master's Degree in Expressive Arts Therapy and Holistic Health from Lesley University in the U.S., and studied at Sotheby's Institute of Art in London. Having lived in London, Paris, Hong Kong, New York, and Boston for 10 years, and traveled to over 50 countries, she brings a uniquely global perspective to her incense research and educational work.

心の静けさと魂の目覚めを世界へ届ける──香道家・お香のアーティスト。伽羅や古代蓮に畏敬の念を込めて創作するオリジナルの「熟香®」はお香の仕事の集大成。20年にわたる香道の研鑽と世界の香文化の研究を経て、国内外で聞香会・オンライン講座・企業研修を行っている。香りが誘う「永遠のいのち」の奥深さと静けさを、人生の本質を見つめ直すきっかけとして、多くの人に届けたいという思いから、「蓮心流香道」を2024年に創設。日本の香道の美意識をいまの時代にふさわしいかたちで再生し、「Lotus Peace Project」を通して世界に発信している。香りのアートとウェルビーイングをテーマに、香道を軸とした独自の感性教育・企業研修を展開。SHISEIDO、ESTEE LAUDER、KIRIN、Unilever、Hyatt Regency Kyoto、Firmenichなど、国内外の企業と連携したプログラムも手がける。英国 Sotheby’s Institute of Art で美術史、米国Lesley大学大学院で芸術療法とホリスティック・ヘルスを学び、修士号を取得。ロンドン、パリ、香港、ボストン、ニューヨークでの10年間の海外生活と50カ国以上への旅で得た豊かな異文化体験が、世界のお香の探求と独自の香りの創造につながった。NHK WORLD「Medical Frontiers」や各国大使館、大学、美術館などでの講演・レクチャーも多数。海外向けのオンライン講座では、聞香の精神性と香文化を体系的に伝える認定プログラムを開講中。
