About the Center
Center for Arts and Wellness

Center for Arts and Wellness was founded in Tokyo by Eriyo Watanabe in 2003. The purpose of the center is to offer workshops as well as private & group sessions using various modalities of creative arts including Japanese traditional arts such as incence ceremony and calligraphy for relaxation, self-awareness, stress reduction and empowerment.

There is an "CAW Art Space " in Tsurumaki, Setagaya-ku, Tokyo where you can receive private sessions as well as various workshops. We offer regular classes at the City Club of Tokyo in Akasaka and the Energy Open Center in Kobe. We can come to your residence or office to give private and gruop sessions by appointment.

Because Eriyo Watanabe has an international and multi-cultural background as well as living experience in Boston, Hong Kong, Paris and London for a decade, she understands the feelings of the foreigners living in Japan. She is willing to support them to gain stress reduction and total relaxation. She would like to share her knowledge of Japanese aesthetics too.

Since summer in 2004, we have started retreat programs at various places in Asia where you can escape from big city and relax. You will enjoy the nature and the unique workshops as well as open air live concerts.

For those who are interested in traditional Japanese arts including Noh, Bunraku and Japanese antiques, we can provide tailor-made tours for a special experience with lecture. We are delighted to offer private sessions in English of Japanese traditional arts for tourists.
